PHILADELPHIA – Join the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), for a Public Meeting on the Draft Environmental Assessment for the New Kanawha Elementary School- Clendenin. The Information Session will be held on June 18, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Elkview Middle School.
The School Building Authority, in conjunction with the Kanawha County Board of Education, has applied through the West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management to the FEMA Public Assistance grant program for funding assistance, under the Presidentially declared Disaster FEMA-DR-4273-WV, for the reconstruction of Clendenin Elementary School.  In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, the FEMA has prepared a Draft Environmental Assessment for the proposed construction of a new elementary school to replace the damaged Clendenin Elementary School, outside of the Special Flood Hazard Area.
The Draft Environmental Assessment is available for public comment until July 6, 2019.

Purpose: To provide an overview of draft Environmental Assessment for the New Kanawha Elementary School- Clendenin and allow an in-person opportunity to submit public comments.

Time: 6:00 P.M. -8:00 P.M.
Location: Elkview Middle School is located at 5090 Elk River Rd, Elkview, WV 25071
