DHSEM Weekly Update June 7, 2019

To give a complete report of weekly activities, this week’s update reflects information for week ending May 31, 2019.

Highlights

·      Stop the Bleed-Jacob’s Initiative kickoff in Berkley County. Twenty-seven instructors trained.
·    Operation Rough Ride DHSEM staff supported WVU’s full scale exercise through the Emergency Operations Center.
·    Grants Monitoring: completed three additional technical assistance visits to subgrantees, bringing the number of visits for the year to 54.
·    State Interoperable Radio Network (SIRN): Site upgrades were delivered to 48 tower sites of the SIRN, with 24 activated. All hardware upgrades on track to be installed by June 26.  SIRN will continue to operate on current software until after the World Scout Jamboree, then the entire network software upgrade will happen through November 2019.  SIRN Upgrade to be fully operational for 2020.
·    Watch Center: For May 1-31, the Watch Center has received 773 emergent calls:
